  1. The Frederick Symphony Orchestra will be performing Forbidden Love in the Jack B. Kussmaul Theater at Frederick Community College on June 17, 2017 at 7:30 p.m.

The Symphony will begin with The Titanic Medley by James Horner. This will be followed by selections based on William Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, including Love Theme from Romeo and Juliet (also known as A Time for Us) by Nino Rota and Romeo and Juliet Fantasy-Overture by Pyotr Tchaikovsky.

After intermission, Associate Conductor Andrew Rosenfeld and the FSO will perform the theme from Forrest Gump by Alan Silvestri and Calvin Custer and selections from Phantom of the Opera by Andrew Lloyd-Webber and Custer.

The show will close with Symphonic Dances from West Side Story by Leonard Bernstein.

Individual concert tickets are available online at MDTix: https://www.mdtix.net/index.php?event_id=583. All tickets can be purchased in advance or on the day of the event based on seating arrangements.

  2. I was driving down Market Street and saw that Olives restaurant has changed suddenly into something called Adam & Eve Gastropub. Does anyone know anything about this or if it is owned by the same people but with a different concept? I never heard good things about Olives so I never went there.

    • Just found this on the Olives Facebook page –

Olives Ristorante and Lounge “I apologize for the inconvenience. We tried and send emails to everyone. The restaurant will be open on the 13th but will be under new management called ADAM AND EVE GASTROPUB. We can still keep your reservation at the new restaurant if you would like.
Menus will be posted soon on olives website.”

  3. There is a sign in Westview that Padmini’s Curry Grill will be coming soon. It was previously listed where Mayta’s is about 2 years ago but appears to be back and happening. There is another location at Kingfisher.

  4. Starbucks and Chick-Fil-A will be opening locations in the front of the new Walmart parking lot up near Wegman’s. Frederick could definitely use another Chick-Fil-A. I was hoping it could have been closer to Urbana/Adamstown (oh well)
