  1. Candle light vigil (All Walmarts simultaneously) 6pm central time 8/5/15 to recognize the annivesary of the death of John Crawford who was killed by police in a Walmart while holding a BB gun.

  2. This is not a reply to the above post. I’m a cancer patient and I don’t get out of the house much right now. I would love to find a nail technician who could come to my house to give me a pedicure. I’d pay of course! I just can’t make it out to the salons. I don’t want any polish, just to have my poor neglected toes and feet taken care of.

  3. Fredericktowne Mall remains standing and yet, it seems the new Wal*Mart of 26 is underway with the demolition of the Wonderbook warehouse…

  4. I’ve been following any news of the new Chili’s opening. It looks like they’ve posted an ad for the manager position as of June 30. Does anyone know if the building is complete?

  5. I thought I remember someone saying it was to be on the opposite corner of Texas Roadhouse. If that’s true, they haven’t even started construction.

  6. I see Market Street Fusion restaurant is closed. That is to bad, I thought they had a good concept. I wonder what is coming in its place. I heard they sold the business.

  7. The two-story brick building on 40, across from Get-Go/Red Horse was torn down (apparently in the last day or so); anybody know what’s happening with the corner lot?

  8. That’s the old state police barracks for what its worth. Been told its in a trust and any future use needs to follow those instructions. Anyone know?

  9. Wawa is taking it’s place.

Also the farm on Butterfly Lane is going to become a water park.

Follow the Golden Mile Alliance on FB or FNP for articles.

Summer’s Farm is also going away in the next year or so…

    • Shame – following in Crumland farms footsteps I see.

I also think gas stations – we don’t need that’ many – just like walmarts.
