On September 27th and 28th, 2014 the Great Frederick Fairgrounds will be transformed into a German village for the eleventh annual Frederick’s Oktoberfest. This family-friendly event is rich in tradition, history and good old-fashioned fun. In 2013, more than 8,000 people attended to partake in the singing, dancing, contests, and activities for children and families.
More than two dozen not-for-profits and community organizations benefit directly from Frederick’s Oktoberfest! There is plenty of authentic-recipe foods, history, culture, sports and children’s attractions to make this an all-day event!
And don’t forget the beer! There is always an Oktoberfest brew or two on tap, along with other German beers, craft and local beers, thanks to Flying Dog Brewery, Brewers Alley and Monocacy Brewing Company, Barley and Hops and Wantz Distributors. German wines, McCutcheons Apple Cider and soft drinks will also be available.
Advance purchase tickets are just $5 for adults and children with children under 2 free. Parking is also free, although donations are welcomed since all proceeds benefit the community.
