The West Frederick Farmers Market has announced a fall photo contest:
Both professional and amateur photographers are invited to the West Frederick Farmers Market on Baughman’s Lane to capture local products and fall in all its glory in the first annual “#FrederickLocalColor” contest.
Photographers must capture activity within the aisles of the Market during business hours (10 a.m.-1 p.m.) on October 19 and 26th. Photographs can be of people, places or things within the market; must be color; and can be entered into the DSLR or PointNShoot category. Phone cameras are allowed to compete.
All photos must be entered through the official #FrederickLocalColor Contest app on the West Frederick Farmers Market facebook page.
A team of three judges from the Frederick Camera Clique, the contest’s primary sponsor, will select from the DSLR category (prize: a $25 gift certificate from Bravura Framing, another contest sponsor) and the PointNShoot Category (prize: a gift basket from McCutcheon’s apple product, additional contest sponsor). There will be a “Popular Vote” category for all photos, the winner of whom will receive a membership from the Fredederick Camera Clique.
West Frederick’s Market, at 110 Baughman’s Lane, Frederick, has 27 vendors of local and regional products, ranging from produce and meats, to crafts and baked goods. For more information, contact Linda Norris-Waldt, 240-315-8876 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
