  1. Anyone know the story of the huge transformers on 550 near Thurmont? My son loves them and I wondered if it’s something we could stop and look at closer – if it’s open to the public. Thanks!

    • They are a family’s corn maze tehy do on their farm. Each year they have a new theme to their maze and festivities and this year its Transformers!!!

    • I was curious about this as well. Took a shortcut there one day and my son was so upset we could not stop and see it. I know they do pumpkins, pumpkin shooting, and corn mazes there – so definetly a trip this fall.

  2. Yup, it is good news. Happy to welcome them to Frederick. I believe they are a Korean owned business. Looking forward to checking out what they have to offer.

  3. I thought the “Transformer” discussion at first was based on the electrical ones, too. LOL! I was thinking, “You know, there are a lot of things to do here in Frederick…so why on earth would this kid want to go look close up at a bunch of hazardous transformers?” And then my second thought was “Transformers in Thurmont? Kai Hagen is NOT going to be happy about this!”

OK now that I’ve made myself completely vulnerable admitting my fleeting ignorance, (it was just a quick moment of misinterpretation) please know that I have a 12 year old son who went through the Transformer phase so I do know what they are! 🙂

    • 🙂 Guess I should have included “robots” in my question! I was so stuck on the robot thing I didn’t even think of the electrical kind :).
