The Frederick County Chamber of Commerce became the first chartered Chamber in the United States on May 21, 1912. The business organization plans to celebrate its 100thanniversary on Monday with a Centennial Gala at the National Cancer Institute’s new Advanced Technology Research Facility (8560 Progress Dr., Frederick).
The event begins with a networking reception at 5:30 p.m. Remarks and introductions will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Advanced Technology Research Facility (ATRF).
More than 600 guests are registered to attend the Chamber Gala and ATRF Ribbon Cutting.
