  4. Has anyone ever shopped at the Chef’s Outlet on 5th street? I tried to go there this afternoon. The sign says they are open until 5pm, but I got there around 4:45pm and they were already closed. Is it a reputable place or should I go with my gut instinct after what I would consider a bad experience?

    • Andrea – I’ve been a few times. Specifically for two items, haddock and a big bag of peppers and onions. Look them up online – you can see what they have. More frozen then anythingbelse .

I usually go at lunch so not sure on the times.

  5. HI. The Frederick Urban Grower’s is seeking additional members for our PARTICIPATORY CSA. We serve the community and ourselves by growing fresh, non contaminated produce. A portion of the produce is contributed to the Soup Kitchen, Church Fundraisers. For a third of the cost of a typical CSA you feed your family with fresh produce and have fresh cut flowers all spring, summer, fall and into the winter. Please email me for more info. The work begins NOW.

    • We also use rain water harvesting ( have 1000 gallons to be expanded into 2000 in the next month) and organic composting. We want your kitchen scraps! Minus meat and dairy. Please call me if you have questions. $150 Individual, $225 Couple and $400 Family for 6 months of organic veggies. 1 to 2 hours of work weekly per member, or as much as you want. 301-332-5585
