Some Frederick fun to keep you busy this weekend:
- Old Time Ice Cream Social – Thursday, August 18, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Heritage Garden. Join us in the garden for Dusty Road sundaes, root beer floats, and other old-fashioned sweet treats at our annual “thank you” to the community. There will be music and activities for kids. Best of all, everything is absolutely free! Free and open to the public.
- Alive @ Five with Justin Kalk Orchestra – Thursday, August 18, 5:00-8:00 p.m. on the banks of Carroll Creek. Must be 21+ to enter. ID required. $5 cover.
- Brunswick Bicycle Festival – Saturday, August 20, 10:00a.m.–2:00pm. at Railroad Square near the MARC train station, on mile marker 55 of the C&O Canal. Music, food, children’s activities. Here is some more on the event from the Gazette.
- K9’s in the Vines – Sunday, August 21, 1:00–5:00pm. at the Linganore Winecellars – Berrywine Plantations. Partake in wine tastings, enjoy live entertainment, silent auctions, door prizes, pet and wine themed vendors and exhibitors, food, and plenty of discounts on wine. $25.00 per person, 100% of the funds raised from this event will benefit benefit the Animal Welfare League of Frederick County.
