Murder, Pumpkins, and Crafts

Is it too early to think about the weekend? I don’t think so. Here are a couple select activities for the upcoming weekend:

  • Murder & Mayhem Walking Tours Historic Frederick – The one-hour walking tours wend their way throughout the downtown Historic District. Free of tall tales and low on the gruesome, the tour offers fascinating but true stories, including some of the most scandalous, nefarious, and unbelievable moments in the city’s past. Tickets are available in advance or at the door. $7 adults, $6 seniors, $5 children 6-12.
  • The Great Pumpkin Patch – For just $5 per person, you will get an all-inclusive pass to enjoy a hay ride, moon bounces, face painting, a petting zoo, pony rides, pumpkin decorating, and so much more.
  • Colorfest -The 47th Annual Catoctin Colorfest will take place on October 9 & 10, 2010 in the Community Park on Frederick Road and the Guardian Hose Activities Grounds on East Main Street. The hours of operation are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day. Admission is free.

In addition there are a multitude of fall activities at local farms. We hit Summers last weekend and had a blast! Also check out Crumland and Gaver.

Got anything else fun for us? Leave a comment.
