Fall Fun at Summers Farm

It’s that time of year when the local farms are busy with fall festivals and Summers Farm is no exception.  Starting September 25th, Summers Farm will open their corn maze, shaped just right for all you Washington Redskins fans.

We all know the sweet taste of summer corn on the cob. At Summers Farm Adventure, we’re offering a sweet time for all ages — 14 acres of pure fun getting lost in rows of tall corn stalks. The maze is divided into phases that will accommodate all age groups. Visitors to the maze at Summers Farm Adventure choose the smaller maze for the younger crowd or our super challenging larger maze.

Starting in October, you can rent space around a campfire or visit the pumpkin patch.

Among the other upcoming events,  Summers Farm is having a First Annual 5K run to benefit St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital on September 26th:

Summers Farm and 99.9WFRE are happy to present the First Annual Great Pumpkin Race benefitting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  The cross country course will run throughout Summers Farm including a run through the corn and adjoining fields.  Participants will receive refreshments, a commemorative t-shirt (guaranteed for all who register before September 18th) and one free admission to Summers Farm Adventure to be used on race day.  Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers across 8 age divisions.  The 5K Run early bird fee (before September 18th) is $10 for students under 18 and $20 for adults.  After September 18th, the fee is $15 for students under 18 and $25 for adults.  The fee for the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk is $7.  All entry fees go directly to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  Click on the “Great Pumpkin Fun Run” link here on our website to find out how to register.

I’ve searched all over the website for the “Great Pumpkin Fun Run” link and can’t find it.  If someone else does, please add the link to the comments section.
