Some Frederick Bicycle News
Joe from the Frederick Bicycle Coalition was nice enough put together an update on bicycle related news for us:
The Mayor is forming a Bicycle Advisory Committee and is looking for citizen and business participants. This is a result of the recent work between the FBC and the Mayor and a 5-0 Board of Alderman vote to support pursuing a bicycle friendly community designation. Also, the Frederick Bicycle Coalition will be putting on a family friendly bicycle ride with the Mayor to a Frederick Keys game. This will take place August 29th. We’ll have more details on that shortly including how to get reduced price tickets by participating.
Finally, the city will be holding beginner mountain bike classes as well as well as basic bicycle classes for those looking to improve their skills and learn the basics. Info can be found here.
