What happened to Miller Ice and Beverage?

Joe W. asks: “Does anyone know what happened to Miller Ice and Beverage at 300 East St.? They just seemed to be closed one day (this has been for weeks). I’m guessing it is permanent, but I haven’t heard a thing.” Anyone out there know anything?

I guess the more important question is: where do we go for large quantities of ice?

And kegs of beer? They were always the ones we ordered kegs from for parties.

I know you can get kegs at Ye Olde Spirits on 7th street with advanced notice. I think it’s about a weeks notice.

I spoke with Old Farm Liquor at Yellow Springs and Old Farm and they can do keg orders. For my last party, I went directly to Brewer’s Alley.

I was hoping it was just closed on the 4th of July…I thought that was strange. When I went back the following weekend for our World Cup party for ice, I knew they had probably gone out of business. What a shame. 40lb bags of ice were great. I hate buying all those little 8lb bags!

Ye Old Spirt sells 20lb bags of ice…that will have to do for now.
