Feedback
I went out of town this weekend so I missed so much of what went on here in town. I’d love to hear some feedback on various events during this busy weekend in our county. How was the Colorfest? The Powwow? The 72 Film Fest? The Evening on the Riviera? I feel like I missed so much. Let me know how it was!

Thats the video of a friend, sort of. my sisters friends brother, went to school for a while.
Anyway, I thought that video was great.
Awesome TK! Thanks for sharing. Do you know how that video did at Film Fest? (By the way, it’s good to “see” you again, it’s been a while!)
sorry, been lurking, not much to pitch in. Back in Frederick though!
and yeah, it won quite a few things at the festival, including best amateur video iirc
Fan favorite too, I believe.
We did Summers Farm (we have a 2 1/2 year old) and we all had a blast. We just moved to Frederick in May and can’t get over all the fun stuff to do around here! I would post pics from the event but I don’t know how to do that on this site!
If you have a Flickr, you can tag them frednet (lower case f) and you can share them here.
Went to the Evening on the Riviera Friday. Went with some friends from work and we all had a good time dancing, tasting wines, and beers, and some really wonderful food! The band was ‘Round Midnight, they have been around a while and are always a fun choice. Great sound for dancing and “partying” to.
The Fairgrounds for a location had us a little worried, till we arrived…then we were just really amazed that the place looked so elegant and festive! Nice job, guys! The table tops were beautiful. The event was to benefit the Women’s Giving Circle this year. We had a good crowd, but not a packed house this year. So, did anyone else out there attend?
Oh, I almost forgot to mention the other weekend activities. The Colorfest in Thurmont was a zoo! Went by there for some pulled pork BBQ and slaw, and a Sweet Italian Sausage, and poked around at a couple of booths before it wound down on Sunday. Always pretty consistent event, very big craft scene. Interesting crowd for people watching.
But what fun on Sunday night at the Lawyer’s Moonlight Corn Maze!!
Loved it! The teepee and the campfire was good for me, and the kids with their flashlights had a blast in the maze. Cheap too- $5.00 to do the maze and just a couple of bucks to shoot the corn and pumpkin cannons. Very Cool!
I went to the first night of the Film Fest which was really entertaining (ALOT of videos though… it went from 6:30-midnight!) and to the Colorfest on Sunday.
The Colorfest was AMAZING. The weather was perfect, and in the 4 years I’ve been going, I never knew how far it extended. I have my favorite booths, but I discovered so much more there this year! There really is something for everyone there.
