by Liz

The fifth annual Frederick Latino Festival is this Sunday, September 27th from noon to 5PM.  Free and open to the public, the festival is held on the campus of Frederick Community College.  From the Gazette:

The festival kicks off with the soccer tournament at 10 a.m. Once trophies are awarded, activities continue with ballroom dancing, a children’s puppet show and the well-known Washington, D.C. band Pablo Antonio y La Firma. According to Hendrix, the band plays tropical rhythm songs to the beat of dances such as the meringue, salsa, cumbia and bachata.

Clowns, face painting, pony rides and obstacle courses will also be on hand for the kids.

Sounds like fun!
