Brazil Day
Adding to the September Events post, I saw a poster for Brazil Day in Frederick , Sunday, September 13th, 2009. Is it just me, or is the phrasing a bit odd in this notice? Maybe it was translated from Portuguese or something.
With you, once more, the Brazil Day in Frederick!
The third of its kind, the 2009 BRAZIL FESTIVAL is prepared with you in mind! Created and produced by MissionServ International, it honors the official sisterhood between Frederick and Aquiraz, Ceara – Brazil and brings to the heart of Frederick, BAKER PARK, a wonderful spectacle of culture on September 13th, 2009.
It is the “Brazilian way of life” brought back to you! So, get ready for a fun event where tastes, sounds, touches and mesmerizing dances will entertain the whole family!
Please keep in mind that this event helps build awareness and friendship amongst cities and nations, engaging people in citizen diplomacy, making, therefore, a difference in the communities we live and work in! Be, you too, a part of it!
Special thanks are here offered to sponsors and volunteers alike, who are measuring no efforts to bring to Frederick the warmth, the charm, the emotions, the passion, the magical culture and the life vibration of Brazil.
2009 BRAZIL FESTIVAL, in support of local charities – Frederick Food Bank and GoodWill, will be collecting canned/dry goods and/or used clothes. Be a part of it and bring a bag! No admittance fee will apply. For all others a fee of $2.00 per adult and $1.00 per child will be charged at the entrance of the park!
There will be a kids corner, food and drink (including a beer garden!), and live entertainment. The only thing I can’t find is what time this event begins. If you are interested, there is contact information here.
I can’t believe I almost missed this! Brazil day is a great time. Definitely go.
