Free Coffee

2009 August 27

I got an email from Matt, of Baltimore Coffee & Tea.  The Frederick store is offering free coffee and tea throughout the month of September as they celebrate their one-year anniversary.

Free Coffee & Tea in September at
Baltimore Coffee & Tea’s New Frederick Location

No catches, no strings attached,
just delicious free coffee and tea all month long!

Optional donations will be accepted and given to
United Way of Frederick County and the Weinberg Art Center

Baltimore Coffee & Tea’s Frederick location is looking to make a splash this September by offering anyone who visits the store free coffee and tea of any size, hot or iced.  Customers can come in every day of the month to enjoy a free beverage.

“We are giving away coffee and tea in September to thank our loyal customers in Frederick for their support, but are also using the promotion as a way to raise money for local charities and grow our market share,” said Mary Romeo, Baltimore Coffee & Tea’s Regional Retail Director. “We want area residents to get in the habit of stopping by our store on a regular basis to enjoy a perfectly brewed cup of coffee or tea at a very reasonable price.”

Customers will have the option of making a donation of any amount in exchange for the free coffee.  All donations will benefit local non-profits, including United Way of Frederick County and the Weinberg Art Center.

It is important to note that Baltimore Coffee & Tea also has locations in Timonium and Annapolis, but the “It’s Free in September” promotion is only taking place in Frederick.

Baltimore Coffee & Tea is unique among other retailers in that they sell coffee by the cup, but also sell over 120 flavors of coffee by the pound, and nearly 1,000 varieties of tea right in the store.  BCT also brews 8 different flavored coffees per day.

“Free Tea…yeah.” I’ll second that. Hopefully the staff is more knowledgeable about tea now than they were when I stopped in last Christmas. With such a fantastic selection, it’d be great for them to be able to make recommendations.

    Thanks for the notice, lizfrog.

It was as easy as I hoped it would be. I walked in, said that I got an email about free coffee (“is it true?!”), and they told me what I could get… hot or iced coffee or tea in any size. They gave me a little card that they punched (one per day, please), I donated a dollar (no pressure… not required at all), and I was outta there. Not before exploring the zillions of burlap sacks of beans, of course… mmmmmm….
