According to the New York Times it looks like two Frederick dealerships are on the list of 789 dealers Chrysler plans to close. They are:

A message on Fitzgerald’s site says:

To Our Chrysler, Dodge & Jeep Customers,

On May 14, 2009 we received notice from Chrysler LLC, along with 784 other dealerships, that our Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep franchises are proposed for termination through the bankruptcy proceedings. While this is not a final decision, we are outraged at this proposed action.

We will continue to serve our customers without interruption.

Thank you for your continued loyalty to Fitzgerald and the brands we offer.

When you say Fitzgerald Dodge will close, does that mean that the entire dealership isn’t closing?

That’s a good question and I am not sure what the answer is. I would think no, since they also seem to sell VW and Toyota.

Jason, Fitzgeralds sells many brands, i noticed their sign on the way to the farmers mkt and i would say they had six or so brands on the sign. so they should continue to sell those just not Dodge
