A Brush With Frederick
This sounds like a cool idea:
On Saturday June 6th, everyone is invited to participate in this interactive community art project – and paint your mark on the concrete along Carroll Creek Park! In Fall 2009, construction will begin along this final section of Carroll Creek Park and the artwork will be preserved beneath the park for generations to come.
Participants are asked to provide their own paint to decorate their ‘canvas’ with expressions of friends, family, community or other family-friendly content.
The Brush with Frederick event will take place during the Festival of the Arts event which is scheduled for June 6th and June 7th.
There is a suggested donation of $15 per square. All proceeds will go to benefit the Frederick Arts Council and the Art Community. To download a registration form and get more info on the event, visit the A Brush With Frederick site.
