I like to listen from the other side of the creek, where it's free. We buy some takeout from one of the many downtown restaurants, sit on a blanket by the library, and enjoy the music. The $5 cover charge helps pay for the bands and the remainder goes back into future events sponsored by the Partnership. The money from the food and drinks goes to the local vendors who are providing it to cover their costs. This year there will be a discounted season pass, so stay tuned for more information on that... As for ID's, since it's a happy hour, all they serve is beer and wine and water bottles along with the featured restaurant's food. Every other city I've lived in with a similar event has had no cover, no ID check. They made money by selling food and beer. It was always a good time. I don’t understand why there’s a cover?
