I wish they would start construction on Clemson Corner and Market Square North. Seems like those two are taking forever.

I’ll have to try the Vietnamese restaurant for lunch today! I work just around the corner.

I tried out Viet Gourmet today. It was quite good, but I think Lucky Corner is better.

I live out in Yellow Springs and drive by Viet Gourmet everyday to get to the highway and back home. I have seen this place actually transform and cant wait to see what they have in the fish tank out front. I would have stopped in on Saturday night (as I didn’t know they were opening and ordered food from Lotus) and the place seemed packed. I do know Callahan’s used that parking spot for overflow on their weekends but if it wasn’t overflow – Viet was doing some good business. Cant wait to give them a try.

I dined at Viet gourmet today. I ordered the combo hotpot, which included beef, chicken, and roast pork, along with baby corn, mushrooms, and onions, served in a metal hot pot with rice at the bottom. It was very good. I’ll have to go back and try other dishes, as the Lucky Corner is one of my favorite places. Their prices seemed a little higher, but if the portions of the other dishes are as large as what I had today, then it’s very reasonable.

We had lunch yesterday at Viet Gourmet. Food is so so. I am too crazy about it! I agree with Monica, the prices are a little high compare to other Asian restaurants around town.

I have to agree with some of the other posters — Viet Gourmet was OK, but I prefer Lucky Corner. Viet Gourmet has more tables and parking, though, which is a plus.

I went to Viet Gourmet with my family last Sunday. We ordered their Chef’s Special (Black Peppper Steak & Shrimp, Beef wih Asparagus), Viet Steak and couple bowls of Pho. It was delicious! With the party of six, our foods were ready within 10 minutes. My parents were impressed. Lucky Corner is one of my favorite place. I usually come there every week for lunch as well as dinner. After eating at Viet Gourmet, the food and service are a lot better than Lucky Corner. Although the prices is higher than Lucky Corner and other Asian restaurant (only certain dishes and vice versa), dishes portion is larger. It is worth it because my parents and I took the left over and had it for lunch for the next day.

I went for Pho lunch Friday. It was very good, rich, tasty and lots of tripe (my favorite part!). The place was packed for lunch, too.

The Pho may be as good as Viet Aroma, maybe. Definitely prefer their Pho at Lucky Corner and it has gotten much better than when they first opened.

WOW Cafe and Wingery will be opening in early May 2009. It will be the first restaurant to open in the Westview Village Shopping Center. It is a family casual dining restaurant with great food, full bar, non-stop music, 20 tv’s.

Thanks for the update Tim. They sure have a lot of space to fill at that plaza!
