What are you doing for Halloween?

Syako asked in the comments about Halloween activities for adults.

I’m new to Frederick downtown and was wondering if there’s anything going on for Halloween night downtown — for a more adult crowd? ;)

I just noticed that Halloween is on a Friday this year so I’m sure there must be something going on.  I have to admit though that I’ve never been a huge Halloween fan.  When our kids were little, we used to decorate the house and take the kids trick-or-treating and all the rest involved with the kiddie side of Halloween.  Truthfully though, I was relieved when we moved out of a neighborhood into a rural part of the county and didn’t have to worry about how much candy to buy to hand out.

Anyway, this is a long-winded, round-about way to get to the real question.  What is there to do in town on Halloween?  I know all the neighborhoods have events for the kids, but what about the “big kids”?  We need your help!

what time is trick or treating for the city of frederick (jefferson street area)? Please let me know asap. Thanks!

I don’t have young kids anymore so I don’t pay as close attention. Most people I talk to seem to agree that trick-or-treating is from 6-8PM. How does that sound, parents with trick-or-treating kids?

      • October 30, 2009 9:22 am

That sounds about right to me. Some of the wee ones go out a little earlier, but 6-8 is good rule of thumb.
