Frederick Business Expo 2008

If there is one group in town that is all about eating, working and buying local products, it is the Frederick Chamber of Commerce.  Since I am a small business owner in town, I am also a chamber member, signing up this spring.

Are you ready to get down to business?This is not your average networking event — EXPO 2008 spotlights over 60 Frederick-area companies! This regional business showcase, presented by the Frederick County Chamber of Commerce, is the place smart professionals go to get things done. Join us for interactive exhibits, demonstrations, prizes, and networking. This year’s event also features “Breakfast at the EXPO” from 9 to 11 a.m., and “Taste of the EXPO” from 12 noon to 2 p.m. For more information, call 301.662.4164.

There are more than 60 exhibitors, from banks and builders to local eateries and service providers.  Best part about it is that it’s free and there will be a lot of “freebies”, like food and coupons and I bet more pens than you can carry away.

The downside is that it’s on a Tuesday between 9 AM and 3 PM, so you’ll have to take the day off if you work out of town.
