Thanks for that answer. I was actually looking for sheet music online and I thought that would be the place to look. But they don't have any sheet music for piano. :-(

Yes, I agree. Thanks for the mention. I had forgotten all about Roppongi and went back the other day. Just as good as I remembered. Friendly, too.

These folks deserve our support. And, thankfully, they now have the infrastructure there in the remodeled plaza to help them as well.

I remain at a loss as to why Fredericktowne Mall could not pull it together to save that end of town. It is really a shame. The right stores could turn it all around. We're certainly not lacking for population on this end of Frederick.

Thanks for the mention of Roppongi Jack. My husband loves sushi, but places like Matsutake and Miyako are costly the average person and I totally agree, we need to support our small businesses.

I've lived in Frederick for 5 years and when I read about the crime, I've been trying to figure out where all this crime in Frederick is occurring. I've lived in some large cities, New York, Houston, Washington, D.C. If we want to talk about crime. I guess for those that have lived in smaller towns any increase in crime is big. My husband and I go to the Golden Mile frequently. Even though we are within the same distance of FSK and FTM, but we frequent the restaurants on the Golden Mile more often then those off of 85.

The first mistake the cities make as their population grows is to let areas of the city run down.

Just as Frederick is putting money into revitalizing the downtown area. I hope they don't forget the Golden Mile. I would love to see the FTM revitalized with stores that will bring people back.

If in the best of areas crime occurs. As Frederick's population grows, malls, shopping areas will need to increase their security. I went to Montgomery Mall the day after Christmas and they had security everywhere. It is all in the name of growth.

If you like sushi, the best place to get sushi in Frederick is in the shopping center behind Record & Tape Traders, called Roppongi! The couple that owns it are always friendly and talkative, and their sushi can't be beat. Their miso soup is also amazing, and is unique in the little crunchy tempura bits they sprinkle into it.

Really a treat, so make sure you give them a visit. It's chains like Matsutake and Miyako's that drive these small restaurants out of business.

I'm no statistician, but the crime information on the website offered by Joe doesn't make a whole lot of sense. According to this link on that site, Frederick has a higher rate of crime than some much larger and more densely populated cities. http://www.homesurfer.com/crimereports/view/crimereportlistranking.cfm?state=MD

I find the information on that site hard to believe!

We are always swatting away flies at Mountain View also ... it's definitely a buzz-kill...

Out on RT 40, we like to visit Thai Rice, Don Chicken (the Peruvian place), and Fajita Grande for the grande margaritas if nothing else !
