Patrick’s Irish Pub, the restaurant that is moving into the spot formerly occupied by Venuti’s and was originally scheduled to open sometime this month, is now pushing the opening date back to mid-August to early September. They are also currently accepting applications for all positions.

I have been repeatedly checking Patrick’s website for opening info, since it’s now clearly past “early September”. Thank goodness Darren from Fredrocks took the initiative to ask and gets a guarantee that they will be open by October 1, although they are shooting for September 21st.

I walked by Patrick’s last week and it’s still not open but I looked in the windows and it’s interesting that they flip-flopped the way Venuti’s used to be set up. The dining room is where the old bar used to be and the bar is now in the old dining room. It looks like the bar is huge although it was hard to tell because they had brown paper on the windows so I could only see the top of the bar. It’s a very large wood piece of furniture.
I heard that Patrick’s opened last night. Did anyone get a chance to stop by?

They opened last Thursday. Some friends of mine went for drinks on Friday night, but did not eat dinner. They said the bartenders were very friendly and provided good service. Guess we will be the first!
