Wow, it’s been quiet around here this week! I don’t know about you, but I’ve been enjoying the weather this week. Sorry for the lack of posts.

Last night, Guy, Frog and I had the pleasure of a meet up, round table discussion at The Frederick Coffee Company with FNP freelance writer, chef/caterer Rochelle Myers. She had emailed us a few weeks ago about putting together this discussion for a feature she wanted to write about Frederick area food bloggers. At first I thought it was a mistake because I don’t have a food blog and this blog is not necessarily food-centric, but I figured she knew who she was emailing and, as it turns out, she’s a faithful reader of this site and realized that the restaurant posts are a big draw for readers and commenters.

The best part was that we also got to meet some of the area bloggers on our blog roll (the real foodie blogs) over there on the right side bar. Christine from Frederick Foodie, brought some of her soon-to-be world famous chocolate Chippa Chippa Bloem Bloem cookies for all of us. Janis from Dining Diva of Frederick County brought her enthusiasm for truth in local restaurant reviews, and frequent commenter Sarah of Eat Local Frederick/Eating in Season entertained us with her passion for local, seasonal food.

It was a very enjoyable evening with lively discussion, so much so that I have no idea how Rochelle is going to be able to pull enough together for the article. At several points during the evening, it seemed like we were all talking at once. Luckily, she had her recorder running and a photographer there to catch us all in our mid-sentence, hand-gesturing glory.

The article will come out either in next Wednesday’s food section or the following Wednesday, depending on when Rochelle gets done writing it. We’ll let you know. For a little taste of her most recent writing, check out Rochelle’s recent review of Quynn’s Attic.
