Dani Gurrie is the founder of Tots2Tweens.com an online directory for parents listing everything from Birthday Party Entertainment to Summer Camps. She is the mother of two children and grew up in Frederick. She wanted to share some family friendly activities that are happening in and around Frederick.

Frederick is such a great place to be. I had almost forgotten what it was like (I recently moved back to Frederick from Melbourne, Australia). Now that we’re really into Spring, the events are popping up just like the daffodils!

Coming up on the 19th, there’s a great event in Carroll County if you’re currently in that area and searching for Child Care or Pre-School for your little one. Bring the kids – they’re more than welcome…And best of all, it’s free!

On the 26th, bring the entire family to Baker Park for the 19th Annual Children’s Festival. The event is from 10 to 3pm – and there will be plenty of hands-on activities and information from many local businesses. Stop by the Tots2Tweens booth for some coloring fun – free temporary tattoos and balloons!

And coming in May – it’s the 150th YMCA & Frederick Police Department Birthday party, May 17th from 12 – 4pm (rain or shine). This FREE family event will be held at the YMCA, 1000 North Market Street in Frederick. Tots2Tweens will be there – be sure to stop by and say hi! NOTE: If it’s raining, the event will be held indoors!
