Easter Special Menus

I’m trying to find out which restaurants are having special Easter menus and I’m not having a lot of luck. If you know of anything, please leave a comment. So far, I have found:

Brewer’s Alley is having an Easter Grand Buffet on Sunday, March 23rd from 11AM to 3:30 PM (click in the “Events” box in the upper right of the page). Adults are $25, kids 5-10 is $12 and 4 and under is free.

Acacia’s website just says that their Easter menu is “coming soon” so I guess we need to check back.

G. Hunter’s Easter Buffet goes from 11:30AM-4:30 and costs $29.9/adult, children (no age specified) are $14.99.

Dutch’s Daughter and Mealey’s both have Sunday Brunches every week and I can’t find anything about whether or not they are having a special Easter Brunch.

The Shamrock is having a special all day Easter Menu, from 12 noon to 8PM, in addition to their regular menu.

Morgan’s in New Market is serving Easter dinner from noon to 6PM but I don’t know what’s on the menu.  We stopped in there last night and I saw the sign but forgot to ask about the menu!

I will try to update this post when I find out more. Again, leave a comment if you know of any other special Easter menus. I’m sure most places will require a reservation so the sooner the better. Thanks!

  • Liz, I can tell you that everyone is FILLING UP FAST!

Mealey’s today told me we were the last group for Easter buffet. Of course, some people (cough cough) make reservations at multiple locations, then keep only the one they really want.

If you do that kind of thing, make sure you cancel ASAP.

nice trick - tell everyone Easter is the *MAY* 23rd - that way there will be plenty of room at the local eateries……………..cheers

  • Good point, Dude. My brother is in the restaurant business (in Atlanta, not around here) and that’s a huge problem so please people, cancel any unwanted reservations!!

Thanks for letting us know things were filling up fast. I was hoping this post was put up in time. Easter is sneaking up fast this year!

  • Oops!!! Thanks Steve! Off to fix that (wishful thinking I guess:-))!

  • My family and I dined at Dutch’s Daughter a couple of years ago. Their “Easter buffet” was terrible! Over priced and food that was just blah!

  • I know Mealey’s has a special Breakfast Brunch for Easter from 10-2pm which I have heard is sold out.

They do have reservations available for their special Easter night buffet which highlights their prime rib and seafood specials (like their wonderful crabcakes, cream of crab soup, creme brulee, etc). That starts at 3-8 pm. Good Luck.

  • If someone can firmly commit to an Easter Day reservation for 4 people at Old South Mountain Inn at 1 p.m.–with a “limited dinner menu”–please let me know.

  • I have two reservations just in case. 1 is at Brewers Alley and the other at G. Hunter’s. I have not been to g. Hunter’s before. Is it good??

  • There’s a thread on FMO on G.Hunters. The food is very good.

  • By looking in the FNP today there is a buffett at the Cracked Claw from 12-4 for $19.95 and childers prices. Also a buffett at the Four Searson Restaurant in Mount Airy.

  • EASTER SUNDAY: We just returned from Mealey’s. Wow, how frustrating. Despite a firm 1:30 p.m. reservation, they kept us (and probably 40 other people) waiting and waiting and waiting for a table. The waiting area was really hot. We finally got a table after a 41-minute wait. Talk about an unpleasant way to start Easter dinner.

And the atmosphere was really “What did you say???” loud. The food was good, though it needed to be replenished more often.

The big surprise? The new management kept a 10-seat table empty for 45 minutes, so they could add another table to make way for a party of 17 people.

  • Thanks for the follow-up Dude. I’m always curious how restaurants do during these big holidays.

Holding a table while people are waiting certainly doesn’t make any sense to me!

  • [...] would imagine that most of these places are having a special brunch although their websites don’t mention anything specifically.  I [...]
