Golfing for a good cause
Want to swing some clubs at the Maryland National Golf Club for a good cause? Here are the details:
The Villa Maria Continuum, Frederick Chapter is hosting the 14th Annual Charities Challenge golf tournament to benefit the chapter on Monday, May 12, 2008 at the Maryland National Golf Club in Middletown, Maryland. It is a scramble format with an 11 a.m. registration and a 1 p.m. shotgun start. The fee of $150 per person or $550 for a foursome includes green fees, cart, complimentary beverage station, lunch and dinner buffet.
The Villa Maria of Frederick County is an outpatient mental health program dedicated to serving the mental health needs of Frederick County. Our mission is to serve the community by providing affordable mental health counseling. With offices in Emmitsburg, Frederick, Mt. Airy and Brunswick, we offer services to children and families. Money raised from the 14th Annual Charities Challenge will be used to support the mission of Villa Maria.

If that wasn’t our wedding anniversary and I was a good golfer, I might consider it. The scramble format is my favorite way to golf.
