I don’t know…based on this picture from the FNP, I’m not sure 1 minute of boiling is enough!

According to the EPA website, boiling the water for one minute is enough to kill e.coli in the water. But they also state that you should strain the water if it is cloudy. And that is one thing that the town never said to do. I know that some water I boiled to use for hand washing some items was extremely cloudy so I ended up not using it. But after letting it sit in the pot for 24 hours, you could see all of the mud and crud that sank to the bottom. And according to the town website, the city water is in the system and the test show no e.coli in the water but the system still has to be finished being flushed.

The State of Maryland needs to go after that farmer, and have him pay for the cost of the clean-up. I am sorry to read that he hasn’t been sleeping well, but enough is enough.
