No more Waldenbooks for Frederick

January 19, 2008 · 4 Comments

I got a Borders Rewards email today saying that the Waldenbooks in Frederick Towne Mall (a.k.a. the ghost mall) will be closing on January 26th. The email also said they are having a clearance sale with everything 40% off. Not sure if that is just for Border Rewards members, but you can call ( 301.663.8277) and see before you head over.

Wow - I thought they closed already. That is the only reason I ever went to that mall. Will have to find out when they definetly close so I can get some good books.

That’s too bad, I always enjoyed going there! I don’t think I’ll suffer too much though with the new Barnes & Noble! I wonder how many others think the Frederick Towne Mall is really creepy?

At this point, it might make sense to flood Frederick Towne Mall with water, let it freeze, and organize a professional ice hockey team.

Considering that there are currently NO pro hockey teams in Maryland at any level, I’m all for that!
