January Events in Frederick County
Happy New Year to everyone! Another month has rolled around already and so here’s an incomplete list of various events around town for the month of January. As always, feel free to add anything you know of that’s happening in the comments section, and for a more complete list, click here for the Frederick Tourism’s website and calendar of events.
Doc Watson returns to the Weinberg Theater on January 26th at 8PM. We’ve written about seeing him before just about a year ago.
Also at the Weinberg is 100 Years of Broadway, on January 23rd at 8:00PM.
Every Sunday in January, from noon to 12:30, there will be a recital in Baker Park of the Carillon Bells by City Carillonneur John Widmann.
And finally, although not in Frederick County but in nearby Gettysburg PA’s Majestic Theater, Cirque Le Masque performs on January 18th at 7:30PM.
Experience all the spectacle and thrill of a big-top, three-ring circus right on stage at the Majestic. This extraordinary 34-member troupe of trapeze artists, jugglers, contortionists, and aerial acrobats defies every law of gravity, leaving audiences of all ages breathless and absolutely amazed. From stunning mid-air pirouettes to fantastic feats of strength, Cir Le Masque dazzles with imagination, flair, and exceptional talent.

It might be. You might want to check local bars to see what’s up. I can’t remember which post, but someone said that The Reagan Years (’80’s music) is playing at Champions. Good luck! We are stuck at home with our college aged kid’s friends so I’m not much help! Let us know what you do!
