Frederick Neighbors’ Night Out
Maybe we can help out …
On June 1, Frederick native Zach Sowers was mugged, assaulted and left for dead outside his home in Baltimore City. Since that night, the 27-year-old has remained in a coma, unable to respond to his new wife, Anna, or to an ever expanding community of supporters – family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, even strangers – everyone touched by his tragic story. Zach and Anna grew up with you, your children, your spouses and your friends.
That’s why on Sunday, September 30, 2007 from 3-10 p.m., neighbors across Frederick will meet at select bars and restaurants to drink, dine and send the message that we-as members of the community that their parents, siblings and friends call home-stand together in their support.
We’re asking you to stand with us by joining the list of bars and restaurants that have agreed to donate 20% of that evening’s profits toward the cost of Zach’s lengthy hospitalization.
Please help us stop the violence. For more information, please contact Erin Sprague at 917-907-3119, Betsy Hassett at 443-803-5337, or use the online contact form to email them.

This is such a sad story. Thanks for letting us know about it Guy. And what an easy way to help out, just by going out to one of these participating restaurants.
Have any other restaurants joined the list since this was originally published?
Yup! Check out the reminder post I just added.
