Did You See The Triple Play?

Did anyone catch the Counting Crows, Live, Collective Soul concert at Harry Grove Stadium last night? Was it a good time? I have seen Counting Crows in concert before and they were really good live.

Wish I had known about it.

My wife and I saw the show, along with quite a few people from work. It was a nice venue for a concert–it just had a nice vibe. Lots of beer flowing as you might imagine–at $7-8 per beer they must have raked in some dough. Kids under 12 got in free, so there were quite a few people with their kids, despite a few f-bombs being dropped by the bands on stage (the Counting Crows lead singer actually stopped one of their songs to chastise some people that were fighting in the crowd near the stage…which was pretty cool).

    Where was this advertised?

My fiance and I went last night. I was in junior high and high school when these groups were at the height of popularity so for me it was long awaited. It was a lot of fun. All 3 bands were great. The beer was pricey but at least it was Barley & Hops and not Coors lite or something.

For better or worse, this was not advertised at all or marketed at all so know when knew about it. They still sold out though and everyone we talked to traveled from PA and NC. I only found out about this because I was looking to go to a Keys game and they had a little blurb on their website about it.

All in all, a great concert with 3 established and talented bands and a great venue. Where else can you drink beer in bucket seats and be only 50 feet from the stage. I would recommend seeing any of them again if they ever come back.

It looked like it would be a great show, but too pricey for us.
