Time Warp at the Weinberg
Those of us of a certain age remember quite well the mania in the mid to late 1970′s surrounding the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Now, fans of old and new fans can experience a midnight showing at the Weinberg this coming Saturday, July 14th. From the FNP:
So now, Frederick Rocky Horror fans, old and young alike, experienced or uninitiated in the audience-participation format, mark your calendars for Saturday, July 14, as the freak show institution comes to The Weinberg Center for the Arts.
In true “Rocky Horror Picture Show” style, the evening begins with live music by local cover band Still Ill at 10 p.m. Later, a costume contest with free make-up provided by The Temple; A Paul Mitchell Partner School, starts at 11:45 p.m.
The movie begins at the stroke of midnight.
For the uninitiated, here’s a place where you can learn what props to bring, tips for first-timers and how to do the Time Warp. But that’s easy!
It’s just a jump to the left.
And then a step to the right.
With your hands on your hips,
You bring your knees in tight.
But it’s the pelvic thrust
that really drives you insane.
Let’s do the Time Warp again!

excellent, I’ll have to call a few friends who may be down for a weird time…
We used to go to the Friday midnight Rocky Horror show just about every week back in my high school days. That was in the 70′s. It would be interesting to experience the whole weird scene again now that I am in my 40′s.
I went to the midnight shows in Frederick when I was in highschool!
