Alive @ Five
Is anyone going to Alive @ Five tomorrow?
This downtown happy hour series occurs the fourth Thursday of each month from May – September at the Carroll Creek Park Amphitheatre between Market and Carroll Streets. Each event occurs from 5 – 8PM, features a distinctive live band, great music, beer and wine. Must be 21+ to enter. ID required. $5 cover.
Barring a horrible thunderstorm, Frog and I are thinking of going. Anyone up for putting faces to names?
Tomorrow night features the music of Quiet Fire.

Unfortunately I won’t be back from work until 6, and thats if I come back to Frederick tomorrow evening. Sadly, I believe I may have to go yet another summer w/o attending an Alive@5 event
I would love to, but it’s my son’s birthday today. I do want to hit one of these up this summer though.
I almost never miss it…but coming from Baltimore(where I work) I have to leave early to get there and with today’s forecast for “storms”, I don’t think I’ll be attending! Last month was GREAT!
I’m pissed I couldn’t make it to last months. I had to do graduation excercises, otherwise, I’d be all over seeing the Reagan Years on the creek.
I believe the Regan Years are playing at the Westview Promenade this Saturday.
Yes they are. I saw the banner there last night.
Where do they play at Westview though? I just can’t imagine where they can hold a concert.
I was there. It was fun.
…at Alive @ Five, not Westview.
We were there, too. Turned out to be a bit more of a work thing than I’d expected. I will be going again.
n a related note, I was also at Westview last night. They set a stage under a tent right in the main courtyard, in front of the theater, Maggie Moos, Matasuke, Chipoltle.
I believe the stage will be set up over the fountain in front of the theater.
Just an FYI for Alive @ Five…when they say ID required, they mean it. You can’t get in without showing ID, whether you are 21 or 71 (and you must be at least 21).
Guy, looks like you’re right about the stage being set up over the fountain, in front of the theater. I was just over there yesterday and wondered why the fountain was shut down–just at the time of year it would have been most enjoyable. But I can deal with the fountain being dry if the space is being put to good use as a concert staging area.
