Shopping Frederick on Craigslist
Looking for that special holiday gift or just dread going to the mall during this time of year? Then you should try shopping on Craigslist. I was curious to see what other Frederick residents are selling on this shopping site and I wasn’t disappointed. Here are some interesting Craigslist items being sold by our neighbors:
- In Urbana someone is selling matching black love seats for 350 bucks. “Sofa is a pullout with mattress. Mattress (Sealy) is in excellent condition with no stains or wear. Both sofa & loveseat have been in my basement and hardly used.” Sounds like a bargain.
- For the active ladies you can buy everything you need to ski for a 100 bucks. “Women’s skis, boots and poles, plus ski tote. Price $100/OBO. Cash only please. Pick up in Frederick, Maryland.”
- For the guy’s thinking about popping the question soon you can scoop up a platinum solitaire engagement ring for $2,600. “Exquisite platinum ½ carat engagement ring, size 6 (I believe), can be resized. This stunning ring has sat in my brother’s dresser for over one year. He decided not to pop the question at this time and wants to take go on ski trip to Colorado.” His cold feet can be your bargain.
Do you shop Craigslist or other online shopping sites? If so, share some fun stuff being sold in Frederick that you have found.

Never purchased anything on Craigslist, but sold two cribs.
BTW, anyone needed a double stroller, still have one to sell. Planning to put it up in Spring when more people are probably shopping for one.
We need a Frederick Craigslist. As of now you have to use or check both Wash. DC and Baltimore.
There is a Western Maryland category, but I’m not sure if that includes Frederick.
I feel bad for the guy’s girlfriend. I wonder if things worked out between the two of them!
We’ve purchased a lot of items on Craigslist, from furniture and appliances (stove, dishwasher) to yard tools and DVDs. I agree that Frederick could sue their own site, but if you simply enter Frederick in the Craigslist search for DC (or Baltimore), you will pull up all of the entries for this area.
It may have been mentioned here before, but Frederick also has a Freecycle group where people offer reusable items they no longer need for FREE. I’ve given more away here than I’ve receivedMore info at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FrederickFreecycle/
Yes, the Western Maryland Craigslist is new and does include Frederick. Spread the word about it, because it’s not getting a lot of postings placed in it.
I WANT TO DONATE A CLEAN MATTRESS
I would like to donate a mattress (double) totally CLEAN, and not new but still usable.
I’ve checked zillion ways to do that and nothing works.
PLEASE help me figure a way. I know about a freecycling facility that is being built in Frederick MD. I checked Good Will and the Salvation Army. Noone will pick yp.
Thanks for any help
