J.J. Pidickles

I received a tip from a FredNet reader (thanks P.H.) on J.J. Pidickles, a new restaraunt in Frederick. It is located in the old Letarios building on North Market street. The reader reported that it is ” … a sandwich shop mainly, but also offers some platters of rotisserie chicken and meatloaf. They also make salads. It’s dine in or carry out and they also cater. The food was good and inexpensive. The owners were warm and friendly.”

The place apparently also has a nice bathroom.

It is actually owned by the same person who owned Letario’s, but after the new shopping center came in their dinner business was shot. They decided to redefine their business, and this is what they got. The owner says they’ve been much busier since the change.

And the shrimp salad sandwich is very good…

Yeah, Raven Pizza closed a while ago. Hopefully JJ Pidickles will do well in that location.

Is it true that this place charges $3.00 if you use your visa card (passing down the credit companies’ fee to the consumer)?! And doesn’t inform their patrons before doing so? Just wondering if anyone had the same experience!

I’m not sure. I thought I read somewhere that they only take cash, but I could be getting it confused with some other restaurant.
