According to NBC25.Com

Construction fencing will be installed around portions of the park between Court and East Streets and at all of the entrances. Access to the park between those streets will be closed until the project is completed sometime in the spring of next year. The 10-million dollar project includes pedestrian pathways, an amphitheater, planters and handicap-accessible crosswalks.

To learn more about the project visit the City of Frederick’s site. The site includes a plan (PDF) that has sketches and maps of the completed project.

Too bad. That’s a lot of area to keep closed to the public…especially this summer. You’d think it was possible to keep one side of the creek open.

But just think about how gorgeous it will be when it’s done!! Hopefully it will more than make up for the lost refuge.

    Thanks for sharing the plans.
